Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui on Disney Bindass has been a trendsetter of a show for the youth of today. With appreciations galore, the makers have now decided to air it as a bi-weekly for four weeks or so.
The next young generation actor to be part of this series will be Farhan Khan who initially essayed the lead role in Chhanchhan opposite Sanaya Irani in the Sony TV show before he made headlines for being replaced by Anuj Sachdeva.
The girl opposite him is yet to be finalized.
We tried contacting the actor, but he remained unavailable for comments. We will get you more on this episodic story shortly.

Neela Telefilm’s ‘shayarana’ show Waah Waah Kya Baat Hai is all set to bid adieu.
Yes, the show will go off-air on 10 November 2013.
As per a reliable source the reality project hasn’t been garnering great numbers on the TVT charts hence, they have decided to pull it off-air.
But it’s not such sad news for the production house as they recently launched Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto on the same channel and they also produce one of the most successful shows on Indian television, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (also on SAB).
We tried contacting producer Asit Modi but he remained unavailable for comment.

Beautiful actress Harsha Khandeparkar, who is currently seen in Star Plus’ Pyaar Ka Dard, is celebrating her birthday today (26 October).
Firstly, let’s wish the lovely lass a very happy birthday and ask her about her birthday plans.
Says Harsha, “Thank you so much for all the lovely wishes. Last night, my close friends bought me a birthday cake and surprised me with a birthday party at one of my friend’s place. Now I have just reached on the sets and I am sure that my cast and crew must have planned something for me.”
“Once I pack up in the evening, I will go and meet a few other friends and celebrate my birthday,” she adds.
So what are the birthday gifts that you have received? “I received many gifts like dresses, perfumes, shoes, bags, purse and lots of flowers,” she answers.
Lastly, how do you feel on getting a year older? “Well, I think I will be 21 all my life. I am having a good feeling and I am sure this will be a rocking year,” Harsha observes.
Enjoy your day Harsha!!!

It is a known fact that the TV industry is filled with ‘Karans’; guess the name proves lucky for stardom!! And the list only gets longer now, as one more Karan is set to storm into the hearts of all.
Already the winner of the reality show Superstud, and having got an exposure with various episodic series and The Serial (Channel V), Karan Chhabra is anticipating his first project on the big screen- Heropanti as the second lead.
Speaking exclusively to Tellychakkar.com, the cute and good-looking actor opens up about his journey and passion in life.
“I started off my career as a model in Delhi and that is when I decided to audition for Channel V’s show Dare To Date. I also did Kidnap on the same channel. Then I did a short film ‘Cornetto Luv Reels’ on MTV and a couple of music videos,” states the actor.
“But the big break happened when I decided to participate in Superstud season 1 which I went on to win. Soon Gumrah happened followed by The Serial. It’s been around two years in Mumbai and I am thankful that with my luck and hard work I have managed to do work with such good banners,” he explains.
Having no backing of Godfathers and even his family, the young boy has managed to survive in this deep sea all by himself. “My family has no connection with the industry, and they were completely against me joining it. But slowly they have started accepting it, seeing how much of effort I have put into my work. I am thankful to Superstud which made me ready to roll into my new world. ”
His first film Heropanti that stars Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger will see Karan playing Rocket Singh. As he says, “It is a very interesting character and I feel lucky to start my career with such a big banner. And I would not like to speak much on the character as it will be a good surprise for all my fans and people who were looking forward to seeing me on screen.”
Talking about his first passion-dance, Karan avers, “I have been dancing since my school days and I simply love it. I joined Shiamak Davar’s institute and later went on to form a dance group with friends. But I gave it up later because I wanted to concentrate on modelling. Dance is something that I wanted to do it for myself rather than doing it for others. It really helps me to let my feelings flow.”
And his second passion is cars, as he adds, “Earlier I was a bike person but then I got hooked to driving. It’s so much fun when you go out for long drives and road trips. I really love cars and I almost feel it’s like my second home. Once I went to Goa with cousins from Delhi in my Audi and it was a superb experience.”
Karan who owns a Honda City, dreams to own a Lamborghini one day and would like to customize his car with some special features. “The love for my music would make me put some really good music speakers in the car and I would love to add some special automatic play station where one can easily play games, although I would like to keep the exterior simple and classy,” he exclaims.
The handsome lad says he is humble and down to earth even after he has tasted success. “The biggest problem in our industry is that we are flooded with offers at times and we also see a phase where we may just have to sit at home for months. So it’s important to have your feet on the ground and respect whatever work you do. Even though I am doing a film, I am open to all kinds of good work whether it’s TV or films,” states he.
Karan who is currently single says he wants to make it big in the industry. And with such dedication we definitely feel you will reach greater heights, Karan!!!

I am glad that among the countless love letters that I have got, none are written in blood - Shaleen Malhotra

Female fans of the handsome hunk Shaleen Malhotra seen in Star Plus’ cop based show Arjun are in for a shock. The reason for this is that the good-looking dude who till now was officially single is now looking to get into a relationship.
Since his character is shown as very serious in the show, what kind of a lover will he be in real life?
Here is Shaleen answering our queries. “Women seem to like serious brooding men (as his character is in the show) who will take care of them. I will play safe and try to be a fusion of a cool lover and somebody who she can bank upon. I would not only wine and dine my woman in the traditional way, but also will keep popping up surprises as an adventure trip just to keep the momentum going.”
Talking about his ideal woman, Shaleen says, “She needs to be very independent, loving and trustworthy.”
How high would drop-dead good looks figure on the man’s scale? “Looks are very important, so I would say 6,” comes his reply.
Ask him if any TV actress fits the bill and he avers, “Most of today’s TV girls are very independent- minded since they virtually carry the show on their shoulders. As for the other above attributes, one can only judge them if you meet them personally.”
In Bollywood he says, “I find Sushmita Sen to be the epitome of hotness right from my childhood days.”
Talking about his crazy fans, he states, “I have a few who think that they are married to me. Hence they message me in the morning telling me it is time to get up or mention the color of shirt I need to wear. They also remind me to have my food.”
So does he reply to such messages? “No, I am scared for if I do I will give them a window to get into my personal life. I am sure they are happy that I have read their text messages. Here I am glad that among the countless love letters that I have got, none are written in blood.”
In closing Shaleen says, “I do not understand the new concept of ‘giving space’ in a relationship. If you are a couple, you need to do things together. Having said this, if my future woman wants to march independently ahead on her career path, I will be more than happy.”
May you get your dream girl soon, Shaleen!!!

The recently launched show on Colors, 24 (Anil Kapoor Productions) which started with a bang has brought in a number of fresh faces into the industry. And the guy who sizzled in the first scene was the assassin Maxx, who impressed us with his good looks and impeccable acting talent.
The man in question is Rajat Kaul, born in a conservative Kashmiri family who dared to dream big and make a mark in the world of entertainment.
Talking about his journey the handsome actor says, “I was working with the sales team in The Oberoi when I got into theatres and then my life changed for the better. Belonging to a family of doctors and engineers, I was a normal guy. Then as I grew up I wanted to do something adventurous and I feel theatre gave me that chance.”
He goes on, “I joined Barry John’s workshop to polish my acting skills and did small roles in films like Ragini MMS, Soundtrack and KLPD. And then through a friend I got a chance to meet VJ Yudi who suggested me to audition for the series 24. I didn’t even know that something like this was coming in India, and had to Google and find out more. After that I auditioned for the role and thankfully bagged the role of Maxx.”
The actor who had also worked with Rensil D’Souza (writer of 24) for his upcoming film Ungli feels lucky to be working with Rensil again and Abhinay Deo, who is directing the series.
Talking about the man who made 24 possible - Anil Kapoor, he exclaims, “I have only one scene with him, but then he made all efforts to make us all comfortable on the sets. He is a very warm person and was always on his toes doing something or the other. Similarly I too hate being in the vanity vans so we did enjoy his company.”
Sharing a funny incident he tells us, “Once I was eating some peanuts on the sets, when Anil called me, “Aye idhar aa, mere ko de ye chana (come here and give me these peanuts). I must say he is a very charming man, and I do not really know how a producer should behave but he was really open to all my queries and we shared a comfortable vibe.”
On his short stint experience which thankfully got noticed in a huge way, he shares with us, “I do not believe in something right or wrong, it’s just how you churn out your opportunities. I was really excited to be a part of this game changer project and thankfully it has come out well.”
Talking about the kind of roles he would want to do Rajat avers, “I am playing a young brashy guy in Ungli and being an emotional guy I would like to do a character like that which is something deep. Since I can’t really relate to the usual saas-bahu shows, I would like to do some realistic and interesting stuff in episodic or series based like 24; something that gives you a kick.”
And what about romantic roles? Laughing out loudly this young man says, “Why not? We have all grown up seeing actors romancing around trees, and I too would like doing something like that someday.”
On being asked whether he looks up to any actor, he very sweetly states that for him every actor is unique in their own way. So what’s unique in Rajat, we quiz him. “You really want an answer to that? (Laughs) Rajat is just a normal person who would rather let his action speak than brag about himself.”
Well said, Rajat!!!

Remember the young boy Nabeel Ahmed mimicking his mom Amrita Raichand in the ‘Nirma Shudh Namak’ ad?
Well, today the boy has grown up and is currently seen playing the mischievous Advait in Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Kehta Hai Dil…Jee Le Zara (Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd).
Talking about his journey on TV, the young actor says, “I started my career when I was just three and a half years old acting in TV commercials. Till today I have done close to 160 ads and the one that made me popular was the Nirma salt advertisement.”
“My parents were keen on me doing just ads as they hardly took more than a couple of days. As a matter of fact, they did not want me to compromise on my studies. But now that I am in my final year of college, I took up this show.”
Nabeel further goes on to add that the show is proving to be a great experience for him. “With actors like Sangeeta (Ghosh) and Ruslaan (Mumtaz) around, you get to learn so much every day. And with all of us gelling well, we have a lot of fun shooting together,” he adds.
Talking about his character, Nabeel reveals, “The character that I am playing is very close to what I am in real life. Like Advait, I am the youngest in the family and everyone pampers me a lot. Similarly, I am also very mischievous but ambitious like him.”
The actor, who is in his final year of BMS and is also a cricket player and has trained in Kung Fu Karate, is also gearing up for his first big screen project. “I will soon be seen in the Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan-starrer Shaadi Ke Side Effects that will be releasing next year. I would love to do a variety of shades and most definitely an action movie,” he ends.

A lot of actors look up to Deven Bhojani for his comic timing. However, the actor who will now be seen as Bhade in Zee TV’s next comic show Bh Se Bhade, produced by Hats Off Productions looks up to another comic actor.
Any guesses on the person he derives inspiration from?
Well, Deven is a huge fan of the man who has managed to create his own empire in the comedy space -it’s none other than Kapil Sharma.
Kapil Sharma’s Colors show Comedy Nights With Kapil has turned out to be a rage in and now he finds a fan in veteran actor Deven.
“One actor I look up to in the comedy genre is Kapil Sharma,” said Deven recently. He also went on to name Dilip Joshi and few others, but he claimed himself to be Kapil’s fan, “I am a big fan of Kapil.”
Looks like Kapil is making place not just in the living rooms but also in the hearts of many!!!

Few get fame and name too early in their career. But for some, hard work is the pre-requisite to success, and this is what judge Feroz Khan of Dance India Dance Season 4 has had to go through.
In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com he talks about his life from being born and brought up in the slums of Mahim to being the judge on this popular show produced by Esselvision Productions.
Talking about DID he said, “When I first received a call from Esselvision Productions they told me that they wanted to audition me for an upcoming dance related show of theirs. So, basically I had no idea about it being DID till I actually reached their office. There I spoke to them at length and gave a screen test too. They were following my work, and hence knew about me. Later they got back to me and told me that I would be on the judging panel of DID 4. I just couldn’t stop smiling after that.”
You’ve been in the industry for 18 years now. Don’t you think stardom has hit you a bit late. “I am excited about all of this, though it’s after a long wait. I think you understand the value of things when you begin from scratch.”
Scratch? “Yes. This is also one of the reasons why I could connect with most of the non-dancers who came on board. I haven’t been to any school or institute. I learnt it all on my own. I was born in the slums of Mahim. So the surrounding was a mix of member of all communities and this helped me a lot as I would dance in every festival, be it Diwali, Eid, Holi or Ganesh Chaturti. I just enjoyed dancing. I used to also dance on Mithun Da’s (Chakraborty) song ‘I am a disco dancer’. This is when I realized that I wanted to dance. And it just happened,” said the tall man.
He further went on to give us the details of his journey, “I used to work for a company that used to send people to birthday parties as mascots to entertain kids. I used to go to birthday parties dressed as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. I used to get to dance a bit as a mascot and I liked it though it used to get difficult to perform with a heavy costume. I was happy there when one fine day someone called me to be a part of Ahmed (Khan) Bhai’s troop. I went there and they liked my look and hired me as their background dancer. I worked with him for six months, but while I was working with them I was also working as a trainee DJ. But then I couldn’t manage both so I skipped DJing.”
That’s also when you joined Farah Khan? “Yes, Farah Maa was auditioning hundred dancers for Miss World and that’s when I joined her. That’s when Kuch Kuch Hota Hai happened. Yes Boss was my first film as a background dancer. This was also when I came close to Shah Rukh (Khan) Bhai and he later offered me Ra:One- Dildara. And later came Ma Da Ladla (Dostana) .”
Interestingly, Feroz was the first person to call Geeta Kapoor – Geeta “Maa”. “I started calling her Maa while she was still modelling. This was because she used to treat me like a kid. Now, the entire world knows her as Geeta Maa.”
In fact, the two people whom the choreographer called up after bagging the show were Farah and Geeta. “I called them up and told them about it and they were really happy for me. In fact Geeta Maa already knew about it. She has been a part of the DID family for long.”
Feroz even missed his real brother’s wedding for the show. “I did miss my brother’s wedding as the auditions were going on and I did not want everybody to change their schedule for me. I have got the opportunity to be on DID and I want to give it my hundred percent.”
Way to go Feroz!!!

It’s common for actors to get to play negative and then turn positive, but getting to play a negative character with variant shades is always a challenge. And enjoying this stint as an actor is the very talented Aanshul , who is currently seen playing the menacing Pramad in Star Plus’ Saraswatichandra (Sphere Origins).
Talking exclusively to Tellychakkar.com, Aanshul shares, “Firstly when I took the role of Pramad, it was difficult to get into the skin of the character. But as I got comfortable playing the role, it really got interesting. And I was really enjoying playing it when suddenly the creatives thought of changing the character to positive.”
It was a tough ask for the actor to suddenly slip into the positive zone. “We first shot for the promo where I had to put bangles on Kumud’s wrist and smile lovingly at her. As much as I tried, the smile was turning into a taunting sarcastic one, and my director had a tough time shooting for it as it was difficult for me to come out of that zone,” avers the tall and good looking actor.
Aanshul is otherwise happy that he got this break in his character as playing a negative role can actually take a toll on your mental state as he quips, “My friends and people on the set had started commenting why I had that serious look on my face all the time. Was I angry upon something? – was what they thought. But then people really liked my positive avatar and some also got duped that Pramad had really changed for good. So I guess I did my job as an actor well.”
But now Pramad is back playing the baddie and this time he is meaner. Aanshul laughs, “Yes, Pramad is now more negative. His earlier negativity was due to his father’s ignorance towards him, but now he does not give a damn. He is there for revenge and it is in open this time. He is not ashamed of his image and will go any far to fulfill his plans.”
He also adds, “I feel lucky to have got a chance to play a character with so many shades and that too in a short period of time. The layering and complex emotions made it a tough task but I took that as a challenge and I am glad that I could do justice to it. TV shows hardly give you a chance to play such characters.”
And now that he has essayed his part so well, doesn’t he fear being typecast in negative roles. Aanshul quickly responds, “Not really. When I was playing the positive side, people were really appreciating me; so I think they can see me in a different light too. Having done positive characters in the past, I am really enjoying this negative stint for now.”
The actor who is also looking forward to his film Ram-Leela says, “I am not yet allowed to speak on the character but it will be a very interesting film. As an actor I do not follow the tried and tested methods and consciously ensure that my style is realistic and believable. I do not want to restrict myself as an actor and would love to do various characters in future.”
Well Aanshul, you are indeed doing a commendable job!!!

Neil Bhatt excelled in his career in the year 2008 by making his debut under the esteemed banner Sagar Arts where he acted as Arslaan (Sony TV), the super hero. Seeing his popularity rise, he was once again roped in by the Sagar Arts group for their next show that aired on Sahara One in 2009, where he played a romantic hero in Joh Ishq Ki Marzi Woh Rab Ki Marzi that later was renamed as Kismat Connection.
He later went on to win over the viewers with shows like 12/24 Karol Bagh (Zee TV), Gulaal (Star Plus), Sabke Jeevan Ka Aadhar – Ramayan (Zee TV) and reality shows like in Channel V's teenage based crime show Gumrah: End of Innocence and Savdhan India @ 11.
So what is the actor up to recently?
In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Neil mentioned about how he is yet to finalise on something and will notify us as it gets final (as all actors do). But he also mentioned something very interesting about his perception of what shows he wants to be a part of.
Neil said, “Look, the kind of roles I actually want to essay are not a part of the industry trend, so there is no point even talking about it. But for the shows which I will be signing I will always do my best and justify my character. But I am hopeful to find a role which has depth.”
Talking on the topic of signing new shows, Neil also mentioned about his angst against the system of ratings. He said, “Earlier, I was completely against the system of TVTs but now I am trying to understand more about it. “
“The only thing is that I do not feel that the system is fool proof. Due to low ratings a show gets pulled off even before it reaches a phase where it can generate high viewership. One cannot even blame the channel as the advertisers pull off from the show. So I feel if there is some alternative worked-out for the advertisers, shows can stay longer and get their due. I mean this was the same problem which I faced with my earlier shows.”
“I really hope this doesn’t happen with the shows I sign in future,” he concluded.
We wish the lad all the luck for his upcoming shows!!!

Following the track where Tapu Sena (Bhavya Gandhi and friends) finds a fortune when they come across an envelope carrying Rs 25,000; Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) is on the edge of introducing another interesting and funny track which will go on air tonight.
It would all start with a normal morning in Gokuldham Society until Dadaji (Amit Bhatt) will experience hiccups and there would be no end to it. People would advise remedies for the hiccups but it would not work. So much will be the hiccups that it would be impossible for him to get some sleep at night.
While we contacted Bhavya Gandhi, he said, “This would be an interesting episode dealing with hiccups. People will surely enjoy watching it.”
Keep tuned in for more updates!!!

It is celebration time for the entire cast and crew of Life OK’s romantic show Do Dil Ek Jaan (Nautanki Films Pvt. Ltd) as it completes airing of 100 episodes today.
As part of celebrations, there would be a cake cutting ceremony post which the cast and crew would resume shooting.
We tried contacting the actors and the producers, but they remained unavailable for comment.
However Nautanki Films tweeted, “Congratulations on completing 100 episodes,” to which the lead actress Nikita Sharma replied, “thank u.”
Congratulations to the entire team of Do Dil Ek Jaan.
We wish the production house and the entire cast and crew all the best.

The protagonist of Colors’ Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Madhu (Drashti Dhami) is finding it difficult to please the Producer in her husband RK (Vivian Dsena) as well as the elder ladies in her house, Paabo (Seema Kapoor) and Radha (Shama Deshpande).
In the recent episodes of this Nautanki Telefilms show, Radha got angry with Madhu for shooting an intimate romantic scene for the movie with RK. And now Paabo will make the going tough for Madhu during the Karwa Chauth sequence in which she will plan to break the close bond between Radha and Madhu.
We hear that Paabo will instigate Radha that with Madhu devoting her time for RK’s movie, she might not be keeping her fast for Karwa Chauth. However, Madhu will tell Radha that she will keep her fast and will want ‘Sargi’ from her. Madhu will promise Radha that she will keep the fast and break it only at night, thereby fulfilling her duty as the bahu of the house in addition to being RK’s heroine.
However, RK will not like the idea of Madhu keeping her fast. He will be of the opinion that this will hinder his shooting schedules. An adamant RK will decipher a way to break Madhu’s fast by having a scene shot on the Karwa Chauth day wherein Madhu has to eat food. Madhu will initially refuse to shoot the scene, but RK will force her to go on and not interrupt the day’s shoot.
And if sources are to be believed, RK as usual will have his say, and Madhu will shoot the sequence wherein Anamika (her character in the movie being shot) will eat the food cooked by her boyfriend.
So does this mean that Madhu has broken her promise made to Radha? Will RK feel guilty for breaking Madhu’s fast before time?
We tried contacting Vivian, but he was not available for comments.
Watch this space for more updates.

Seems like the actors of Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Telefilms), on Sony Entertainment Television, have found a way out to experience some sweet moments while they shoot very far from home.
Yes, we are talking about the talented and beautiful Aashka Goradia and the dancing superstar warrior prince Faisal Khan. Apart from sharing a close bond, both share the same passion of love for animals.
Faisal, unlike his character of Pratap, doesn’t shy away from having fun during his breaks and free time. And to give him company is his director’s pet dog, named ‘Jaanu’. Jaanu is seen following the young lad all around the sets and having a great time together.
On the other hand, queen Bhatiyani, Aashka has found a friend in a horse. In her free time, the actor is seen fondling and spending time with the animal. She also keeps posting her pictures with the horse on Twitter, captioning the horse as her BFF (Best Friends Forever).
Talking on the same, Aashka avers, “I just love animals and even though I am yet to name it, I love spending time with it on the sets. I really feel happy when animals are around.”
Faisal remained unavailable for comment.
