Sometimes, it’s better to keep your lips zipped, especially with reporters hovering around.
Earlier in the day, scribes of Tellychakkar.com attended a press conference which announced married couple Ridhi Dogra and Raquesh Vashisht hosting one of the upcoming episodes of Jai Maa Vindhyavyasini on Big Magic. The sequence will air this weekend.
So far, so good. We are sure the duo will do a superb job. The press conference was proceeding in its usual manner, but then, in a moment of weakness, Ridhi opened her mouth, only to say things which caught the attention of our reporter. And what she said, left all of us baffled.
Here’s the clear picture. When we asked Ridhi about her show on Life OK’s Savitri (which just went off air), the lovely lady flashed her pearlies and said in a sweet tone, “It was a wonderful experience. I got to do so many things including scuba diving, sword fighting, horse riding et al. I will cherish the experience for years to come.”
Cho chweet, Ridhi!!!
And then came the spicy part.
Later, our ever vigilant and sneaky reporter spotted Ridhi speaking to a friend/companion of hers. Triggering the eavesdropping mode, she heard Ridhi saying these words pertaining her work experience in Savitri. “Know what? It was crime for me to sign Savitri and I am glad that it is over. The channel creatives were the ones writing the script and hence it was difficult to communicate over the changes I wanted and I had no clue what was happening. Let’s not talk more about it for the more I think, the more I can’t stop complaining about this mistake of mine.”
Gotcha!!!
So Ridhi has two versions for Savitri, one for the public and press and another, a rather true and pricky one, for her close quarters.
Here we would like to add that when Ridhi was talking to us about her Savitri stint (check the above quote), her hubby Raquesh “smirked”, much to our amazement which further solidified Ridhi’s double standards (read: statements).
We really wonder why did she have to pretend to be happy with the show? Is it an ‘actor’s-duty’ or she does not want to hamper her relationship with the channel?
We wish the lady does not have to shuck and jive in her future shows!!!
