The young stars of the popular show Dil Dostii Dance on Channel V (Cinevistaas) were in for a really pleasant surprise last Saturday, when Javed Jaffery, Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali Khan visited the sets to pep up the youngsters. Shantanu Maheshwari, Vrushika Mehta and Kunwar Amar who play the lead roles in the show were busy practicing their steps when the master dancer Javed Jaffery casually strode in much to the teenage actors’ delight all of whom rushed in to seek Javed’s blessings.
Javed was soon joined by the pretty Soha Ali Khan and the talented Sharman who wished the cast good luck. Javed also reminisced the good days they had while shooting for War Chhod Na Yaar and playfully cribbed on how Soha and Sharman made him dance in the sandy deserts which immediately elicited peals of laughter from Sharman and Soha. Sharman, who has trained under Shaimak Davar, spoke about how he enjoys jive as a dance form.
Once the men in the group were done talking all eyes turned towards the lovely Soha Ali Khan. We first wished her a very happy birthday and asked her what she did on her special day. “I actually spent my day in Delhi with my family,” said Soha and also wished all the actors of Dil Dostii Dance good luck. She also playfully warned them against indulging in any war-like situation on sets.
The shoot ended on a high note as the entire cast and crew joined to wish a ‘Happy Birthday’ to Soha, albeit belated. As the birthday song ended, an overwhelmed Soha thanked one and all for the warm reception.
